Rehoming Resources

NOTICE:

If you feel you don’t have enough time for your pet, they still receive far more love and attention in your home than they would in a crowded shelter or rescue.  With shelters and rescues overwhelmed by the animal overpopulation crisis, we urge you to do everything possible to keep your pet.

Over 50% of dogs showing signs of aggression are euthanized in shelters. We understand this is a frustrating and emotional time, but surrendering your pet may put them at risk. Remember—they are animals, and biting or acting out is often their way of communicating distress, fear, or unmet needs.

Please communicate with us—we’re here to help you and your pet stay together.
Need to Rehome?
Our current intake focuses on transfers from other rescues and urgent cases at risk of euthanasia. We are only able to accept community surrenders in rare, critical situations.

To give your pet the best chance at staying in a home, we recommend posting them on trusted rehoming platforms:

Behavioral
A dog’s behavior is often a reflection of their environment and the guidance they receive from their human family.

With proper support and training, many behavioral issues can be improved or resolved.

You can explore resources at Free Dog Trainers or reach out to Paw-Rump Rehab & Rescue’s trainer, Brianna Kirsner, for personalized behavior support.
